Although it was a short trip to Budapest, Hungary in mid-October 2021, I couldn’t help but try 2 hotels 🙂 And if I told you about the first one in this review, now it’s the turn of the second one. I chose the newly opened hotel (just a month ago) Kozmo Hotel Suites and Spa.
I really like The Leading Hotels of The World, so I could not pass by this wonderful and new hotel. It is located closer to the Central Market area, it is easy to walk to the center and the promenade in 15 minutes. The area itself is quiet and very pleasant.
We arrived at the hotel in the morning, but we were immediately settled in our room, which I did not like as it was on the very top floor with a sloped ceiling under the roof (I will show it separately later), and we asked reception to change it after our return from a walk around the city.
We were greeted very friendly. The only moment, upon check-in, on the card the hotel pre-authorized the amount of our stay at the hotel, as well as a deposit (about 100 euros for 1 night of stay). After checking out from the hotel, the blocked amount was immediately returned to us and the amount of our accommodation was written off.
When we returned from a walk, we were escorted to another room. It turned out to be lovely and very cozy with 2 windows to the quiet courtyard of the hotel.
The room is visually divided into:
– a relaxation area with a sofa, table, mini-bar (very well filled, a wide choice – all for an additional fee). There is a coffee maker with capsules, a kettle with a tea-sugar set
– a small work area – a desk with a chair by the window
– bedroom area with a lovely bed with a very comfortable headboard, excellent linens, lovely comfortable pillows, bedside tables on both sides of the bed
– a bathroom area with a large bathtub, two washbasins, a toilet and a shower outside the doors separately. There are very nice cosmetics in large bottles (you won’t be able to take home with you as a souvenir 🙂 ). All the little things you need are there (from toothbrushes to a comb and more). The towels are large and nice.
There is a large and roomy wardrobe, but we didn’t have enough space to put our suitcases. It is inconvenient for us to keep them in the wardrobe, so we had to put them on the floor by the closet
The room has comfortable bathrobes and slippers. The air conditioning system is quiet and conveniently adjustable.
Room cleaning is excellent and in the evenings there is preparation of the room before sleep. It was nice to find a bottle of water and a small chocolate bar for the night on the bedside tables 🙂
The hotel SPA is a wonderful and very cozy place. Anyone who cares about the availability of such services in a hotel should definitely choose this hotel.
The SPA area is located at the bottom of the hotel and consists of:
– a small but equipped gym
– recreation areas with large sofas with an excellent pool of a good depth to swim (the water temperature was 26 degrees)
– a big sauna
– and a large jacuzzi pool (here the water was much warmer)
The temperature in the sauna was 50 degrees, but after the request, the temperature was increased in it, and after that it was always there at least 80 degrees.
There are several problems here: the lack of large towels for the SPA (it turned out that they had not yet been delivered to the hotel, since supplies were disrupted) and there are few places on the sofas. We had to free one of them for a couple who came to the SPA later than we did.
And finally, about my beloved, about breakfast 🙂
The breakfasts are wonderful.
There is a good selection of products at the buffet (excellent cheeses, cold meats and cold cuts, vegetables, fruits, pastries, etc.),
as well as the possibility of ordering dishes from the menu (eggs, pancakes, cereals, etc.).
The service is good, but at the peak loading time we did not wait for our pancakes 🙂 The waiters bring water, juices, coffee-tea to order.
But I think that choice of fruits wasn’t good and it can be much better.
The only thing I didn’t understand was whether there was sparkling wine for breakfast. But it was waiting for us in the form of a welcome drink in the bar next to the restaurant 🙂
Overall we loved this small, cozy and very interesting hotel in Budapest. It is very unusual, it is interesting to walk and look at the hotel building, because it belongs to architectural monuments.
We recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a new hotel with excellent service and a range of facilities close to the center of Budapest.
