LUJO HOTEL, Bodrum, Turkey: room and territory

Lujo Hotel Bodrum

Well, finally I reached to our third hotel on a trip to Bodrum in May 2021 (about the first Be Premium hotel here, and about the second Rixos Premium here). It was an unexpected, but very pleasant date, and exactly in this hotel we managed to completely relax 🙂 But I promise to honestly tell you about the pros and cons of the hotel, so that it would be easier for you to understand whether to choose this hotel for your vacation.

I love so much the first moment of checking into the hotel, so here everything turned out to be quite interesting. As soon as we entered the doors of the main building, we were immediately greeted by our personal assistant and invited to sit down to arrange the check-in. In order not to be sad to wait, they brought us a glass of Moet champagne and a snack, and even handed a bouquet of flowers 🙂

All the documents were ready quickly enough, the assistant immediately created a chat with us in what’s app and took us to the room.

The main building is the highest point of the hotel and offers great views, and to get to the rooms, you need to go down below.

And then immediately about the huge minus of the hotel: its territory, especially in the area of residential buildings, is certainly something strange. A continuous heap of buildings, which are a lot and they are very crowded. Between them there is no greenery, no beauty, no place to walk. Just a bunch of concrete, stones, glass and asphalt.

And such a picture awaits you everywhere near this area, where the descent to the main beach and the beach for adults begins. There, finally, the eye has something to rejoice in: beautiful conifers, greenery, flower beds and other beauty, beautifully living against the backdrop of the breathtaking sea of Bodrum.

All movements within the territory are either elevators, escalators, stairs or, for those who like to walk, an asphalt road that goes past the buildings.

This bothered me the most, I really love the cozy green areas of hotels with beautiful views. Immediately I felt here as if I had not left the city 🙂

The first tour of the hotel was led by our assistant, and then she mailed us a beautiful detailed map of the hotel.

It seemed to me that the territory is not spacious enough for such a hotel, so I had to poke the buildings very closely to accommodate the entire infrastructure of the hotel, which is quite diverse and extensive.

Our building was close to the main building, which seemed to me not a very good location: I like it to be in a very quiet and with fewer people around place.

The superior sea view room turned out to be quite spacious, and somehow reminded me of the room in our favorite Regnum Carya Golf Resort, but still not so successful in layout.

The room is decorated in such gray tones, at first it seemed to us not very cozy and reminded of a cave, but still later it turned out that it is very comfortable and good here 🙂

At the entrance there is a bathroom area with a small dressing room. There are 2 washbasins, a toilet, a shower. There is everything for a comfortable stay, including cosmetics, all sorts of useful little things for him and for her, as well as an iron with an ironing board and an umbrella.

The only thing that confused me was the safe, which for some reason is located in the bottom drawer on the floor itself 🙂 It was a cool experience to put your things on the floor 🙂

A wonderful comfortable bed with a bunch of smart buttons with light control and other things awaits you in the room 🙂

For those who like to deal with such things, there is something to do. The quality of the bed linen is excellent, there is a choice of pillows for every taste, which we immediately used.

We had a sweet treat on the table, the minibar was well stocked including vegan zucchini chips 🙂

There is also a sofa in the room, which can be converted into a full bed for children when needed.

We really liked the balcony: lovely and comfortable armchairs with a great view of the sea – a wonderful place for a pleasant pastime!

I really wanted to take a terrace room, but when I went to the balcony of our room, I understood why I didn’t. It turned out that from the balcony of our room it was possible to observe everything that was happening on the terrace of this room, which turned out to be located below our 🙂

To go down to the restaurants, spa and pastry shop, you had to get to a level below, using the elevator. This elevator turned out to be very busy and often we had to either bypass our building or go up the fire escape. I think this is a very unfortunate decision, such a bottleneck in the logistics of passing from the buildings to restaurants and beaches.

Then escalators begin that lead to other restaurants and to the sea. The elevation difference in the territory is quite large, but at each level there are buggy cars that can take you anywhere in the hotel.

Having checked in, we immediately ran to the sea 🙂 So, in the next part I will tell you about the infrastructure and service at the hotel.
