I’ve chosen this hotel a long time ago, because I love new hotels. A few years ago, it was opened after a major reconstruction of the entire building and rooms, and the hotel has become only for adults.
Yes, I did understand that the location of the hotel and the absence of its territory are the biggest drawbacks for us, but still decided to take a chance and try it.
As a result, not having any special expectations for the hotel, we’ve received a huge amount of pleasant impressions.
Last year, during Black Friday sale I’ve booked on the hotel’s website a room with the wellness double category. I did not understand what it is and what this tariff means.
Arriving at the hotel around 12.00., we were immediately told at the reception that we had a star prestige category room and were escorted to their separate reception.
The reception and recreation area for guests of the star prestige rooms are located on the 6th floor and can only be accessed by card from the star prestige category room.
Access includes a lounge area for relaxing with tea, coffee, drinks throughout the day, from 12.00. imported alcohol drinks and snacks (sandwiches, salads, cookies, pastries) are added.
There is also a sunbathing terrace with sun loungers, awnings and umbrellas, a warm jacuzzi and a small saltwater pool.
This is the last floor of the hotel, the views are beautiful: the ocean and the mountains, as well as the dense concrete building around 🙂
Because we’ve arrived early at the hotel, we were asked to wait, wearing special bracelets to use the star prestige area. An hour later, we were taken to the room and another holiday has began again.
The room is small but wisely zoned (unlike the older brother the hotel Iberostar Selection Anthelia).
Bathroom with 2 sinks, shower, toilet is located separately.
The room has enough comfortable places for clothes and things, there is a good shelf, but there is no table, only 2 armchairs.
On the spacious balcony there is a dryer for swimsuits, a table and chairs.
The bed is installed securely and does not go anywhere :), while it is has a very good size. Nice mattress and pillows included.
Huge TV with USB connector, channels, and access to Netflix.
The room has a nice design with interesting colors. There is applied elements of the “smart home” with the inclusion of light and closing rooms.
There is a safe, a Nespresso coffee maker, a minibar (included in the price), a welcome bottle of water (replenished daily).
Cleaning is taking place 2 times a day (in the evening there is changing towels, including beach towels, which are in the room in a comfortable beach bag). On the second day of our stay, we’ve found a nice touch from the hotel: the bottle of sparkling wine with fruits, cookies and a set of marmalade.
The big minus of the room is the terrible views of the nearest monster hotels, apartments, cafe-restaurants and a rather noisy road.
I think that the rooms that look the opposite side of the hotel (towards the village of La Caleta) will have a prettier look and will be quiet, because there is no noisy road.
Separate entertainment at the hotel is an elevator. To go, you need come to the board where you choose the floor you need, and in the same place you see the letter of the elevator that will take you there (A, B, C, D). There are no buttons inside the elevator itself, only a door opening and closing button. And the elevator itself carries on the floor that you chose earlier on the scoreboard.
The hotel has no territory, for me it’s almost such a city hotel for those who likes to walk, trips around the island: for everybody who will not spend time only in the hotel. The whole territory of the hotel is a building and a swimming pool with a bunch of sun beds around. I can’t imagine how the hotel copes with the number of guests in high season. Already, in May, the places around the pool were occupied at 7 am))
Around the main pool there is a zone with sun beds, umbrellas and awnings for hotel guests, resting on the star prestige system.
Well, going to the food in the hotel, I can say with the pleasure that it is here at a very good level (it is tastier and more interesting than in the two previous hotels clearly). We had the concept of breakfast-dinner again.
Finally, we’ve got a good preparation of dishes from the same set of products as in the previous hotels. And the most important thing is that the pastries for breakfast, desserts for dinner were tasty and interesting!
The important point is the atmosphere of the main restaurant, where everyone tried to dress up and have a festive time. And again, for guests staying on a star prestige system, the restaurant has a separate area.
For breakfast there is cava and a huge amount of freshes and smoothies. Porridge is delicious, fruits are available, including strawberries, cherries and passion fruit (which was not in other hotels in Tenerife). Drinks for dinner are to be paid for, the service is fast and not intrusive.
The hotel is located near the boardwalk and the beach, access to which is possible through the gate, working on the card from the room.
The hotel has a SPA with sauna and steam room, the cost of which is 15 eur per person for 2 hours. There is also a good gym.
Not expecting much, we’ve received a lot from this hotel, for what we are truly grateful! It is very nice to see the coordinated work of the hotel team and its management!
Pleased to recommend the hotel to those who need a good base for exploring the island. I also recommend choosing the star prestige system, since thanks to it, you can feel the atmosphere of a small boutique hotel inside a very big hotel!
