Radisson Blu Gdansk Hotel Overview

We are back from our New Year vacation to Gdansk, Poland and Vilnius, Lithuania and its time to share our impressions with you!

I’ve chosen this hotel to celebrate the New Year 2019, and overall I was very pleased with this choice.

The first excellent thing is the location of the hotel.
It is located right in the Old Town of Gdansk in 1 minute walk from its main street.

The facade of the hotel with a restaurant and some of the rooms overlook it.

Because of the location, the hotel is interestingly built in the architecture of the Old City, that’s why it does not have a classical entrance.

We were greeted by a nicely decorated live Christmas tree in the hotel lobby.

We’ve got a room on the 3rd floor, with a view to the hotel’s courtyard, so the room was quiet.

The room is a very good size, surprised by a fairly large and spacious corridor. There are two chairs and a table, the sleeping area is located away from the entrance, which always makes me happy.

When checking into the room, no bathrobes or slippers were found, we’ve called the service line, and after 5 minutes we were delivered everything to the room. Quick and nice!

The bed is a standard king size, but it turned out that these are 2 beds that were pushed together, which, however wasn’t a problem.

Good quality of linens, hard mattresses, flat pillows, no pillow menu was found.

The bathroom is clearly after a recent renovation, comfortable and beautiful, has a warm floor.

There were 2 windows in the room, when it was a very strong wind there was a feeling that the wind would burst into the room 🙂 The room was warm, although there were no batteries, but the heating we didn’t use too.

On the floors there is a machine for ice lovers.

TV is not the largest size, without a USB connector.

In general, the room is cozy and very nice to be in it.

Breakfast at the hotel are located on the 0 floor at restaurant, further behind the reception.

There is a choice in buffet style: with meat and cheese cuts, perfectly fried bacon, pastries, delicious fruit (even a watermelon was offered), nuts, strawberry smoothies, hot smoked salmon and drinks (fresh orange juice and other juices, water, tea in packets and brewed with teapots, decent quality coffee and cocoa, which you can do yourself in a machine).

You can order some dishes from the menu like egg dishes and pancakes.

The service is fast and pleasant.

The restaurant itself is a bit of a strange shape, but cozy, even when it was a lot of guest there.

An important point for us in choosing a hotel is the presence of a sauna.

In this regard, the hotel is all good: there is a well-heated sauna of a good size, a properly heated steam room (with good steam and a heated stone bench, which is usually rarely found).

You can use the services of this complex from early morning until 23 in the evening, which is convenient. Towels and water can be taken by yourself.

We’ve liked everything, but lacked only a comfortable seating area with sun beds.

Check-in and check-out was fast, professional and pleasant staff work at the reception.

Definitely recommend this hotel for a good holiday in Gdansk.
