After relaxing at the Kaya Palazzo hotel in Belek, Turkey, where we celebrated the New Year 2021 (about which I wrote several reviews), it was time to move to the hotel where I dreamed of returning for all 7 years since my first trip there in the year it opened in 2014 (about this my review here).
I booked Regnum on it’s website, because there were the best prices of all available options. Booking was easy and convenient, I immediately received a confirmation voucher by mail. And the next day, a very kind hotel employee from the reservation department sent me a link by mail to pay for our stay. It was necessary to pay for it within 48 hours, as we booked a non-cancellable reservation with 100% payment. Within an hour, the same employee sent a new letter, in which he confirmed that our reservation was paid, and we are very much expected at the hotel 🙂
Previously, of course, I tortured the hotel with my letters about how the spa and the outdoor pool work during the pandemic, are there any restrictions, and really hoped that everything would be the way I want 🙂
Having quickly collected our bags, we went on foot to Regnum Carya, which is located right next to Kaya Palazzo. At the entrance to the hotel, the security looked at us with surprise, where did we come from with suitcases and without a car 🙂 They kindly offered us a lift to the hotel reception, but we walked with pleasure.
It was January 4, 2021, and when we got to the reception, we realized that there were a lot of guests at the hotel: the traffic in the lobby did not stop for a minute.
A young lady from the guest relations department immediately approached us and offered to sit down to fill out the documents.
It turned out that our room was not ready, and we were asked to walk for an hour, which we did with pleasure. Oh, well, what can I say 🙂 I was SO looking forward to meeting with Regnum again that I ran with a big pleasure to have time to see everything that we saw, and especially what we didn’t see, because the hotel has built a lot of things during these 7 years that we have not been there.
In an hour we managed to run to the sea,
admired the beautiful hotel grounds on the way to the sea,
and also had time to drink a cocktail in the new bar, which was built on the site of the singing fountains near the main building.
Back at the reception, we asked about our room, and got response that it was still not ready. We immediately found a young lady who promised us a room in an hour, and in a few minutes she solved the issue with the room and took us to check in.
On the way, she apologized that it would be a different room, not the one that was originally prepared for us, but also in a good quiet place of the hotel, as I asked 🙂
The room turned out to be almost in the same place where we lived previously, but a little to the left. At first I was upset that the room was close to the elevators and they and the people going there would bother us, but when I saw the view from the balcony, I realized that we would stay here 🙂
To be continued.
