Well, it’s time to continue my review about our wonderful holiday at Regnum Carya Golf Resort, Belek, Turkey, which I started writing about here.
We were settled in a similar room as in 2015, and I still liked it very much, and I don’t even see traces of the past 7 years, apparently the hotel gradually make renovating.
I like everything in the room here: a comfortable dressing room,
a spacious bathroom,
and a cozy bedroom. The bed is lovely, the mattresses, pillows and linens are great.
Also I like a great balcony where you can live, admiring the views and listening to music.
And the most important thing for me is very good sound insulation.
The hotel has changed a lot in the 7 years that we were not there: a new pool was built, the beach was expanded (but it became some kind of prison, perhaps, behind a net and a fence), the hotel has made a stage, also a lot of green places, a playground in the shade.
The most beautiful place in the hotel in January 2021 is the outdoor heated pool. It offers excellent swimming, great service to the sunbeds, good pool water temperature. Incredible happiness in the low season 🙂
The spa center is still beautiful, but due to the pandemic, it was necessary to make an appointment to visit the sauna, hamam, swimming pool. But no one monitors the established time of stay, and we calmly spent as much time as we wanted. The only negative is the huge number of children in the hamam, there was no way to push through 🙂
The concept of drinks is still good, but not all bars know how to prepare cocktails. And Guinness is still only in cans; our favorite Shamrock is still closed.
Both pastry shops worked: one with ordinary desserts and ice cream, and the second with a selection of Turkish desserts and sweets. The pastries are delicious, but still not the same as they used to be. But the baklava was just beautiful, so much so that we even ordered it with us for gifts to relatives. And another sign of economy is the presence of Algida ice cream instead of our favorite Movenpick ice cream.
The food in the hotel is of a good standard, but not as excellent as it used to be. You can feel the savings in the main restaurant, where before you could order any kind of steak or fish that is prepared in front of you. Now the choice has become much more modest.
Otherwise, everything is just as good and tasty: a wide variety, and the food is good. The service is very fast and excellent, no complaints at all.
And yes, we really liked the main restaurant after the reconstruction, it became more cozy and nice there.
Ala carte restaurants are still good, we enjoyed visiting a Turkish and fish restaurant, but it is sooo hard to get there, and you need to do it as soon as you arrive. Unfortunately, it is impossible to make an appointment there in advance in correspondence with the hotel.
The Daphne restaurant deserves special praise. This is the place where you can have a great snack during the day. We really liked both the menu and the quality of cooking. The restaurant is very cozy and the service is excellent.
Hotel occupancy at the beginning of January 2021 was quite high, there were a lot of guests. And, unfortunately, few of them followed the established measures in connection with the pandemic. Only a few guests wore a mask at the distribution line in the main restaurant, or elsewhere in the hotel inside as well. And the hotel itself did not require this from the guests, probably that is why everyone felt so relaxed.
On the way back, the hotel provided us with a free excellent shuttle that took us to the airport in 20 minutes.
Overall, we were very pleased with our second visit to our beloved hotel. I like it very much and it is so suitable for relaxation. In the low season, I consider it an excellent solution for all those who are looking for excellent infrastructure and service by the sea.
