I’ve told you about the room and the territory of the hotel in the first part of my review, I talked about the infrastructure and food in the second part of my review, and now I’ll talk about the beach and the concept of drinks. Well, at the end, my conclusions and recommendations to the hotel are waiting for you.
The beach surprises at once, and the question arises: how, having such a huge territory and an extended coastline, it was possible to make such a tiny and narrow beach?
The number of sun beds and umbrellas is small, there are no mattresses, but umbrellas protect well from the sun, which is good news.
There is a small pier, which looks more like not a pier, but a wooden platform, a continuation of the beach.
There is no changing room on the beach, the toilet is located just near the second snack restaurant, and there are only 2 cabins: one for boys and one for girls. I think there will be serious queues there during the season.
While we stayed there, some works began on expanding the beach, but what happens, we will see from the summer reports.
There is also a bar on the beach, the service in which we had to adjust a little, because at first we were told that there are no nuts for drinks, and they are not served them. After contacting the assistant, nuts appeared, which were then served to all the guests 🙂 There were also 2 types of ice cream in packages, both very sweet and not very tasty.
The entrance to the sea is not bad, closer to the pier, the further from the pier, the larger the pebbles in the water and it is not always convenient to enter. The sea is beautiful, transparent, there are fish and stones, so you can snorkel with a pleasure. The entrance is shallow, but the depth increases rapidly.
At the same time, there is a very strong and cold wind on the beach, there is such a place that it blows almost constantly. And if this is a plus in the summer, then in May it was very cold because of this. And even then, in neighboring Rixos, the wind was in a different direction and it was comfortable to be on the beach. And then there is just a place like a cape in the sea.
Towels on the beach (as well as at the pools) are provided by the staff, you can take any amount and change them during the day, too.
Well, now it’s time to talk about the pride of the hotel – the list of alcoholic beverages that are included in the concept at the hotel.
Yes, this list is quite extensive and rarely in any hotels in Turkey there is such an interesting set of drinks, except in several of a very high level. There is good vodka, single malt whiskey and much more (see for yourself).
But, as it turned out, not everything is so simple. Not all drinks are available in bars. On the beach, the choice of drinks is not so large, well, this is probably understandable. But when some positions of drinks were not in the main bar of the hotel – in the lobby bar, we were very puzzled. However, after reporting this to the assistant, the drinks were surprisingly in place 🙂
And about what I personally love, about cocktails 🙂 I really respect good cocktails, and there is a separate cocktail menu, but the staff just doesn’t know how to cook them anywhere: neither on the beach, nor by the pool, nor in the lobby bar. As we were explained, the employees are new and still learning, but when you are on vacation, you do not want to think about it, but just enjoy.
And one more moment. There are not so many bars and it will be difficult to sit there with pleasure during the high season when there is a lot of work in the hotel. And there is very little space in these bars. So consider this
At the end of my long hotel review (I’m sorry 🙂 ), I want to summarize.
Be Premium Bodrum is an interesting and very beautiful hotel that needs good management, a lot of attention to details and hard work in training staff.
My recommendations for the hotel:
– define your target audience and promote the hotel to your target audience, showing your strengths and interesting points
– make a hotel map with a description of services for guests
– assistants need to send guests information about possible food outlets in the hotel and their schedule for the day
– resolve issues with food (teach staff to cook and purchase good ingredients, keep food hot)
– train staff (English, prepare cocktails, etc.)
– expand the beach area
– make a separate area for adults only (in the restaurant and on the beach)
– solve the issue with drinks (or remove from the drinks list or have them all available without games and other things)
