Review of Hotel Regent Petite France and Spa Hotel, Strasbourg

It was difficult for me to choose a hotel in Strasbourg, so in the end I’ve booked 2 hotels: the first hotel without a sauna and the second with it. I’ve found one small nice hotel in Strasbourg with SPA, but I just did not have time to book it, so I had to look for another hotel with a SPA again.

In the end, I’ve chosen Hotel Regent Petite France and Spa.

I’ve booked this hotel on Booking and paid for our stay during booking process. Everything was good and the hotel was waiting for us.

We’ve arrived at the hotel early and the room was not ready yet, so we went for a walk.

The main advantage of this hotel is its excellent location right in the heart of Petite France with its incredible atmosphere and charming architecture.

The hotel reception and corridors seemed a little boring and old, and in the room it became clear that the hotel would soon have to get renovation.

I’ve booked the superior room, because I wanted a little more space. The room was quite spacious with a bathroom and separate toilet, living area and bedroom area.

The view from the room opened onto the bridge loved by many tourists in Petite France, but no noise was heard with the window closed.

The bathroom is spacious, but with a very uncomfortable bathtub, which does not have a fence, and therefore all the water was constantly on the floor, no matter how you tried.

We barely found a hairdryer: it’s behind the mirror in the bathroom 🙂

The bed is comfortable, we had a good sleep. The room is warm enough.

Another strong point of the hotel is its SPA center, which includes a good sauna, a steam room and a small relaxation area with loungers indoors, as well as a pleasant terrace with great views (it will be great to relax there in the warm season).

Breakfast at the hotel is not bad, but considering that the hotel is 5 stars, we’ve expected more. Well, here, of course, the previous 4-star hotel is to blame, where breakfast was still more interesting.

At breakfast is the main choice of snacks, cheese and pastries is presented, it was also possible to order a hot eggs dish (but we had to wait a long time, because the kitchen could not cope with a high load), a modest selection of fruits and yoghurts. In general, not a very large selection and not everything is made up for.

It seemed interesting to us that the hotel was created on the site of a former mill, and then with ice production, and still regulates the water level in the river, helping pretty boats pass by.

I want to thank the hotel for the unexpected and pleasant congratulations with my Birthday and in general for the pleasant stay!
