Transfer in Bodrum, Turkey on your own

One of the main points in our trips is moving between hotels, because we usually have several of them. In May 2021, I booked 3 hotels for our vacation in Bodrum: 2 of which are next to each other, but the third is farther away. And I had to start planning our transfers again.

From Bodrum airport to our first hotel Be Premium Bodrum, I ordered a transfer on the Booking website (cost about 20 euros), immediately received a message in watsapp that the driver would be waiting for us. At the appointed time, both the driver and the cars were in place, and we quickly drove to the hotel (about 30 minutes).

From the first hotel to the second Rixos Premium Bodrum, we moved like this: we asked to take us by buggy to the exit of the Be Premium Bodrum hotel. And from there we were picked up by the driver on the buggy of the Rixos hotel. So we quickly literally rolled from one hotel to another.

But then a real transfer was already needed, so from the Rixos Premium Bodrum we had to move to the Lujo Hotel (it took about 20 minutes to go there).

There was an option to take a taxi from the hotel gate or order a transfer again. For some reason, I really do not like these taxis at hotels, they always have their own special pricing policy 🙂 Therefore, I began to look for an office that makes transfers between hotels. I didn’t have to look for a long time, I immediately found Bodrum My Transfer. Immediately on the site I made an order, received a confirmation by e-mail. And according to tradition, a message immediately came to watsapp with a confirmation of the transfer.

On the day of our relocation, the driver wrote (knew a couple of phrases in English) and came to pick us up. He took us well and without any problems, only when we gave him money (payment in cash), and problems began (the driver did not speak English, but we did not speak Turkish) :). He could not understand why we were giving him so much money, so we had to involve a hotel worker who explained to him that the amount was correct. It turned out that the driver was expecting Turkish lira, and we gave the euro, as it was written in the booking.

In general, on the way back, I did not take this transfer again, although it was cheaper, because I was afraid that if something happens at the airport, hardly anyone will help us 🙂 Therefore, I ordered a transfer again through Booking, because I like the fact that the payment for it takes place immediately with a card on the site during the booking.

Yes, I understand, it sounds a little stressful, but still, several hotels are always very interesting for us, so we have to calmly treat such logistical tasks 🙂
